This page offers news and updates about the Tennessee home being built for Middle Tennessee Air Force Combat Controller Staff Sergeant Luke Van Dorston in Thompsons Station, Tenn. Franklin, Tenn.-based Carbine & Associates is building the home and Nashville-based LP Building Products is serving as lead sponsor, donating materials for the project.

Luke is a 33-year-old highly decorated combat veteran with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He flew over 140 combat missions, was involved in more than 64 direct action raids and directed 194 Close Air Support missions. Most recently he served at the Interservice Military Free Fall School where he trained over 500 Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force and Allied Force special operators. His combat engagements earned him two bronze stars, one with valor for heroism. Van Dorston was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2011. Married to Abby Van Dorston, the couple has a one-year-old son.

In 2013, we hosted a private concert with Kix Brooks during the International Builders Show at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. As a result, builders came forward for six LP/American Country Countdown sponsored builds. This video details the progress on those builds one year later.

Sergeant Ronny Wiley and wife Ashley Wiley moved into their new, custom-built, mortgage-free home just in time for the holidays. Classica Homes in Charlotte built the home, and Nashville-based LP Building Products served as lead sponsor, donating materials for the project.
